Vanguard Homes is making the future "Sensibly Green" with our Briar Chapel concept home, which uniquely bridges the gap between ENERGY STAR® and extreme green technologies.

Currently under construction, the home will apply to achieve gold level certification from the Green Home Builders of the Triangle and National Home Builder's Association Green Building Standard. It will provide a wide range of sustainable features, both inside and out. To conserve water, the home will include Water Sense™ qualified dual flush toilets and filtered water faucets in addition to low-flow shower heads and a solar hot water heater. With plans of computer-monitored irrigation, cisterns will collect and distribute captured rainwater for usage on plants, smart landscaping and water features.

The home's indoor air quality will benefit from high HEPA filters, and low VOC paints and carpeting. An ENERGY STAR® Advanced Lighting Package will deliver daily energy savings, and solar tubes will deliver natural daylight while reducing energy usage.
